Tanjin Cross treats the shoe as a small piece of architecture. The clips that hold the swoosh are visible. The red layer between the panels is visible. The serial plate is visible. Nothing is hidden inside - the construction is the decoration.
The dual lace system pairs waxed cotton with raw rope - function and ornament fighting for the same eyelets. A small hook lives on the back of the heel so the pair can be hung on a wall like a tool or more like a relic.
